I am amazed by the women that come into my studio every day! In particular, Gabriella’s session struck a chord with me. She reminded me that women are a force to be reckoned with. She is the first Hispanic Sargent in her squad. Having a 3-year-old Hispanic daughter myself, made me realize that she is paving the way for so many young women today proving you can do anything you want is any race or gender. She truly is an inspiration. I was honored to be able to capture such fierce, strong portraits of her, her husband, and her baby.
She trusted me to get her out of the police uniform for an afternoon and style her in our amazing gowns and fabrics. In her portraits, she owned her session showing she is confident yet sweet and elegant all at the same time. Gabriella possessed almost an angelic presence which honestly brought tears to our eyes.
My #1 goal in any session is to make women not only feel pretty but empowered. After all, our bodies are truly incredible in what they do to create these beautiful babies and I love being able to showcase that.
