Finding out you’re pregnant is one of the most exciting moments in your life—at least until about a month in, when the real effects of pregnancy start to kick in. During your first trimester, many women experience nausea, fatigue, and anxiety. But don’t worry—there’s light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m not just talking about when your baby makes their grand entrance!
The second trimester is often the most enjoyable. Your energy typically returns, making it a great time to start building a registry and preparing your baby’s room. Your appetite usually comes back too! Personally, one of the best moments was actually starting to show and feeling my little one move for the first time. After the challenges of the first trimester, seeing your belly grow and feeling your baby inside is truly magical.
The third trimester can be more physically challenging as your baby grows rapidly and your body adjusts to their increasing size. But even with the discomforts, it’s incredible what our bodies can do to grow another human. Once your baby arrives, all the pregnancy struggles fade, and you may even find yourself missing the experience of carrying them. Take the good with the challenging, and try to appreciate each stage—though it may feel long at the time, pregnancy truly flies by in the blink of an eye!
