Your due date is quickly approaching and you are in the last push to get everything ready for the baby! It is such an exciting -yet nerve-racking time, reduce your stress by preplanning by having your hospital bag ready for the baby.
The hospital will likely have a lot of things you need however, some of the items might not be of the best quality. For example, they will have blankets but I highly recommend bringing your own blankets and swaddles as they will be much softer for the baby. Make sure to pack a few outfits as well. When our son was born we only brought newborn clothing and it turned out he was WAY bigger than we all thought and my mother-in-law had to run to our house to get 3-month clothing!?! Additionally, when nursing a bottle-feeding baby make sure to bring your nursing pillow so you and the baby can start getting used to how to use it together. Lastly, don’t forget the baby’s car seat! You guys will not be able to leave the hospital until you can pass the car seat test. This just entails making sure it’s the right size for the baby and the straps are positioned in the correct slots for their height.
Other than those key items the hospital will everything else for you to get by until you are home. It is stressful enough to make sure you have all of your paperwork and items for yourself and your partner. I can assure you that you don’t need to bring the entire house to the hospital. Keep in mind to bring the few things that will help you and your baby feel the most comfortable! You got this!!!
